Revenge it’s not ours to take

BIRD-SQ-SM-600x600When you are betrayed, do you immediately want to get revenge? Getting revenge can make you feel better and some will not admit it!  In the world today, there’s not a lot of room for or vengeance. If you’ve ever been wronged in your life, you probably understand the concept of revenge.  Often it starts with someone doing something wrong to you, and you feel powerless to stop it. You want to get them back, so you create a plot of revenge.

You can view revenge a couple of ways; first, you can argue that you only shouldn’t seek revenge at all. That’s fair, and an entirely noble path to take.  On the other hand, you can look at these things as obstacles in the way of actual revenge. Your biggest obstacle is making sure you don’t feel like an awful person afterwards.

Your other obstacle is simply the obstacle you’re already facing: letting go. I believe these are pretty easy things to overcome because there’s a difference between pure revenge—an eye for an eye—and smart revenge—aiming to bring positive change from your actions. The problem with most revenge is that it’s about bringing harm—and not harmony—to the situation. If you’re going to seek vengeance, you need to believe you’re bringing about positive change.

I am a firm believer revenge is not ours to take.  Remember the saying what goes around comes around.  The best revenge is being a good person and doing the right thing.  Remember Christ should always be your answer to all complicated matters. Trust and believe.

“I am a Philanthropist”

BIBLEBOY-WPThere’s a growing trend for giving back. People across all age groups are volunteering like never before. But giving back doesn’t mean that you don’t get anything in return. It can mean helping others reach new heights in their lives and reaching a new level in your own life.

Have you explored the benefits of being or becoming a Philanthropist? For starters a philanthropist is someone who engages in philanthropy; that is, someone who donates his or her time, money, and reputation to charitable causes.  Giving to your favorite charity feels good, there’s no denying that. But your charitable initiatives can have a greater impact on your community more than you may think.  Gone are the days when donations are all about the tax break.

Today everyday people are developing values-driven giving opportunities to help support their philanthropic efforts grow even deeper roots in the things they care about the most.  While charitable donations may have an immeasurable impact on our communities, actions speak volumes as well. Giving your time and labor to local causes can also result in substantial charter building and bonding time with the people you serve which has a stronger, happier, and more active community.

if you think you need to have money to be a philanthropist, you are wrong!  All of us can improve the conditions in our communities in some way by engaging and give more of ourselves strategically, to make targeted efforts to contribute more of our time.   As Mother Teresa reminds all of us “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”

This year I am encouraging all of my colleges to become philanthropists for the communities they serve.  If any of you is having trouble selecting a humanity cause, or charity, I will share one of my favorite charity “St. Jude “www.stjude.org” has a very special place in my heart.  Find somewhere to volunteer today and give!

“Stop Wasting Time”

SHOES-SHORE-FB-SMIf time was running out in your life, how would you spend the limited amount of time you have left? Would you live life all over again?  What would you do differently?  If you could live for one more day, would you spend the time on yourself?  If you could travel through time, where would you go?

We make choices that shape our future and reconnect us to our past.  Choices move us toward the things we know we want and away from the things we don’t find suitable for our life.

I am a firm believer you should live every moment to the best of your ability. Stop waiting for the perfect time to live your life or waiting until you have enough money to do the things you have dreamed.  We should choose to find joy in the little things and the bigger things will come.  Trust and believe and you will live a life that is filled with beauty, joy, hope and peace.
