“Scripture Verse focus vs. Setting Goals for the New Year.”

This year’s I will direct my life focus on the biblical verse, John 6:35.  This verse will give me the clarity I will need to make every day an opportunity and to spend time in the Word and listen to God and daily seek his guidance.  I have decided to use this approach this New year rather than focusing on a goal-setting process which in the past became too much about MY plans and not at all about God’s plan for me.

“Jesus declares, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

Verse, John 6:35 teaches that spiritual nourishment comes first. That your spiritual growth is not a project, a bible study or a training seminar, but a daily practice rooted in prayer. It is not optional – but rather it is required to sustain life’s achievement.

My spiritual nourishment is more valuable than food and water. The message valued from John 6:35 is, that Christ calls us not only to “believe in him” but also to “come to him.” With this in mind, I am willing to seek Christ daily, with all of my joys, worries, questions, and requests. Not just when things get rough or when I’m expected to pray.

As a Christian, husband, father and technical entrepreneur, I experience no shortage of ideas or imagination. But when it comes to making things happen, bringing them to fruition I often fall short. I spend too much time being politically correct “the messy middle.” So am embracing the word Nourish which will give me the strength and direction I need to keep feeding my dreams, goals and to provide me with a little bit of focus every day and to sustain my life to strengthen me.

REACTION

lostDo you ACT OR REACT?

When we’re sure the outcome is not going to work; when we can’t figure out where to turn next; when we don’t know what to do next we panic.

The election was a nail-biting experience and will change the country forever.  Some of us lost friends and political perspective.  We are finding it difficult to move forward because of the election outcome.   Many of us feel lost.

It can be hard to go forward after a big disappointment and when things don’t work out.  Don’t lose hope; move forward trying something else.  Enough small things by enough people coalesce into the next big thing keep hope alive.

The Power Of FAITH

faith-pm-smHave you ever found yourself in a place where encouragement is lacking? And that no matter how hard you try, no matter what you do, it seems that you cannot make any progress in reaching any of the goals you have set for your life.

We all have times when we just feel like giving up. It may be easier to quit than to just endure the course of hardship, struggle and disappointment.

We need wisdom to know how to respond to the disappointments in life. This means we should see the trials in life as a link in helping us to understand our purpose in life, which helps us build character.

While the trials of life are never pleasant, they can produce certain benefits in our lives. We would do well to embrace the power of our faith; we must trust the direction that life leads us and use the power of positive thinking.  When we believe in ourselves, we profit from the struggle. Eventually we will find joy from the struggle by attaining victory.

If you just believe, this simple perspective in life, this principle can help to eliminate the negative reaction to difficulties in achieving goals and improve your life in the process.
